Character Sketch of Mrs. Chawla ……………….

Mrs. Archana Chawla , neighbour of Shanak . She got married to Mr. Rajveer Chawala, a contractor.  It has been 5 years of their marriage, and they also had a boy of  four years .There’s  was a love marriage and Mr. chawala loves her a lot but Mrs. Chawala is not satisfied with her marriage and she always droll and flirts with other man of the society. She tries to get their attention and does the cheap act accordingly to get the attention of men. The woman of the society avoids talking to her and also avoids inviting her in any party or function in their house. But in some cases where whole society has to be invited they have to bear her unwillingly. But they tries to keep their hubby away from her by making them busy with something or other.

 

Mrs. Chawala used to give  very intimate look whenever she looks shaan , though shaan never paid any attention to her but Khanak saw it and that is why she always keep an eye on her and never let her roam around shaan . Mrs. Chawala initially tries to come to their house for playing with Khwaish but khwaish never liked her company and she tries to get out of her hold but Mrs. Chawala hold her forcefully, and not let her go out of her hold, just to show that how much she loves khwaishh . khwaish then shout out loudly and even if that not work, she sometimes pulls her hair too, after which she can be handled only by shanak as she won’t listens to anybody and keep on pulling her hair with force as much as she can. Mrs. Chawala suffers from little pain due to hair pulling but the viewers get the good laugh seeing the whole view and they praise and loves khwaish for her deeds. After continuous repetition of this hair pulling fiasco , now Mrs. Chawala remain alert whenever khwaish is around  her.

It was the month of October……

Shaan was as usual busy in his office routine and khwaish keep khanak busy whole day, by making her run after her. Whenever she sees khanak coming near her, she immediately crawls faster to not let her mom hold her and while crawling she giggle and laugh her heart out as if there is no tomorrow and she had to laugh fully today . Her chirpy, buzzing and lively attitude keeps khanak busy whole day, not letting her know when the day starts and when it ends. Earlier before resigning from her job, she had a second thought that how will she spend the whole day, how her day will pass , what will she do whole day , but after arrival of Khwaish in her life , she never regrets her decision , infect she feels proud that she took that decision of leaving the job as now she had all her time for her little baby , her each and every activity and her growth , every learning she can witness and is there to hold her and guide her whenever she falls and is there to correct her if she does something wrong . But  she never scold her whenever she pulls Mrs. Chawala’s hair , infect she loves it and had a hidden smirk whenever she saw the whole view but in front of Mrs. Chawala she had to keep the fake anger to show her .

One evening khwaish was playing with her toys in drawing room and khanak was busy in making the dinner as it was the time for shaan to return from office , she was making it in hurry , so that after his return they  will spent the full family time without any tension of making the dinner . After finishing off with her work , she come out of the kitchen , to see her little, naughty daughter but was shocked to see the view of drawing room , as each and every toys are scattered on the floor , which where earlier kept on one side of the hall in a proper manner. she tries to search  her little daughter to give her own peace of mind , though she knows that it was worthless but still she does ……….but she is nowhere to be seen , panicked she then calls out her name loudly  ………….” Khwaishhh ….. “

Khwaish was sitting peacefully under the centre table, folding her legs and holding her little soft toy bunny with her two little hands. Hearing her mumma’s voice she looked towards her and giggled loudly, hearing her sound khanak looked around to see from where the voice is coming, she again called out her name, khwaish then peep out little from table’s edge flashing her little teeth, khanak took the deep sigh seeing her hale and healthy and immediately runs towards her, took her out carefully from below the table and hold her tightly in her arm, squeezing her and kissing ………….

Khanak : kahan ……kahan chup jati hai , shaitan ,…………..mumma kitna darr gayi thi , ………aapko pata hai ??

She just hugged her tightly and kissed her, forgetting all her anger which was there a while ago, but now she had a wide smile. She took her in her arm and with other she collects her toys placing them in proper place before shaan’s coming back from office. Though he never complains but still khanak generally tries to keep the house clean and tidy before his arrival from office, so that he finds everything in its proper place.

The door bell rang and khwaish coos loudly in anticipating that it must be her father only and when the anticipation meets the reality, her ecstatic has no boundary, and she immediately throws both her arms in front asking him to hold her immediately. shaan gave his laptop bag to khanak and holds his naughty daughter first, squeezing her tightly which she misses whole day and then kissed her forehead and cheeks lovingly, Khanak moved towards kitchen for bringing water for him and shaan holding khwaish, inside the bedroom to get freshen up and changing his clothes so that after getting relaxed he can spent  whole time with sweethearts of his life . Khanak came back and gave a glass of water to him and he places khwaish on bed lightly while talking to her , asking her about her day routine as if she is going to tell him everything , but still seeing her smiling face took away  tiredness of whole day . He then ask her to go to mumma while he return back to take quick shower, khwaish moves towards khanak and then shaan moves towards bathroom and khanak and khwaishh moves towards kitchen for making coffee for him and milk for khwaishh.

Khanak : Gudiya , aaj aapne pura din masti kiya hai , ab jaldi se ninni kar lena , hai na ??...................., nayi toh phir raat mein mumma ko pareshaan karoge

Khwaish was listening to her words carefully as if paying full attention and will obey as she wants.  She took her bottle from khanak and keep it holding tight till they reached their bedroom , and khanak took her in her lap to make her drink her milk and then she sleep peacefully , Tough khwaishh was tired too , so as soon as she laid in her mumma’s warm and cozy lap , she slept immediately . Shaan came out from bathroom and khanak asked him not to make any noise, he pouted like a little kid complaining that she does it purposefully to make her sleep as soon as he comes home, so that she won’t be able to spent time with him, khanak giggled loudly hearing his accusation making him taught his jaw and frown annoyingly. He had his coffee in peace without any noise while khanak was feeding khwaish .

After finishing up his coffee he came out for watching TV and Khanak followed him making khwaish sleep peacefully above their bed surrounded by  pillows and cushions , so that she doesnot fall from bed while turning in sleep. Shaan sat lazily above the sofa, while khanak sits beside him holding his hand and smelling the perfume and soap smell surrounded him after shower making her week. he holds her hand tightly and dragged her closely towards him curling his arm around her tiny slim waist and as soon as her face came his , he started kissing her all over  lovingly , giving her his soft kisses , preparing her for more and lengthy act ahead. But as soon as he was about to move his act further the door bell rang jolting them out from their own world and khanak immediately straighten her hair and top……… moved to open the door. 

Parul and Mrs. Chawala was there, she cursed Parul for bringing Mrs. Chawala at her house and especially at this time when shaan is at home. Parul saw and understands her change in expression and knows how much khanak must be cursing her for bringing archana in her house, but she had no other option as it was the work of society, and the task management job was given to Mrs. Parul singhania and Mrs. Archana Chawala. Khanak unwillingly asked them to come inside the house. shaan who was sitting till now , immediately stood up and greeted the two ladies . Mrs. Chawala greeted back giving him flirtiest look

Mrs. Chawala : Hello Mr. Khandelwal ………….aaj toh lagta hai mein sahi time pe aayi hunn , jo apse bhi milna ho gaya , toh aaj hum aaram se baithke dherr saari baatein kar sakte hai , kyun ?

Shaan just smiled  and then she tries to come closer  for hand shake but before she could touch his hand , khanak hold shaan’s hand ……..

Khanak : Baby , jao na dekho under room mein khwaishh akeli hai , usko leke aao na bahar

Shaan  was taken aback to hear “ baby” in front of others from khanak’s mouth as she never does it before ……………unaware about the whole issue , looked confused towards khanak “ But khanak , who toh ……….?”

Khanak : Kya , who toh … who toh kar rah ho ,……….jao na khwaish ko leke aao , who Mrs. Chawala ko subah se yaad kar rhi thi ,iseliye toh dekho aaj kitne din baad Mrs. Chawala hamare ghar phir se aayi hai .

Mrs. Chawala got nervous in anticipation that if khwaish comes out and will again pulls her hair then what will Mr. Khanadelwal thinks about her , she immediately starts searching idea to avoid the whole intraction between her and khwaish and wants to run away from there as soon as possible .

As shaan starts moving towards their bedroom totally confused about the whole scene , Mrs. Chawala called him out ……

Mrs. Chawala : Mr. Khanadelwal , let it be …………. I M in hurry today, Will meet khwaish tomorrow, actually mujhe abhi yaad aaya maine gas pe doodh rakha tha and I completely forgotten about it .

With the hurried steps she went out of Khandelwal’s flat making khanak and Mrs. Singhania having a loud laughter about the whole scene and shaan stood where he was totally confused and looked blankly towards the two ladies who are laughing loudly keeping their hand on their chest as if sitting in a laughter club. ……………….Irritated he asked khanak ….

Shaan : If you are done with your laughter , can you please tell me what was going on ??

Khanak while composing herself  told him about the whole scenario that how their little daughter used to snatch Mrs. Chawala’s hair and that is why Mrs. Chawala was avoiding meeting khwaish ,………….. if khwaish does it again in front of him , then it will reduce her pride in his eyes . Shaan was shocked to hear her daughter’s act and asked khanak that why didn’t she stops khwaish to do it .

Khanak : I didn’t because Mrs. Chawala deserves it

Shaan looked at her with questioning look and khanak told him about Mrs. Chawala’s cheap acts and how she use to come closer to men .

Shaan smirked little after hearing the Mrs. Chawal’s story forms the two ladies ……….

Shaan : Gosh ! You are so mean, using and spoiling my little baby for your own benefit ………….haa ??

Khanak tongue in her cheeks: Everything is fair in love and war

Shaan nodded hopelessly but didn’t able to stop himself laughing out loudly listening the whole scene and how Mrs. Chawala almost run away from their place hearing Khwaish’s name leaving him in total confusion.

He felt like holding khwaish in his arm and squeezed and love her , but resist the temptation due to the fear of her mother , whose wrath he had to listen if he makes her awake , he looks towards khanak and pouted again which she understood the reason and smiled lovingly towards him .

Mrs. Singhanaia was sitting and witnessing the non-verbal communication between the two , she knows how much they love each other ,and was sure that they were disturbed in between their love making as khwaish was sleeping too so they must be on their way before she and Mrs. Chawala came  and disturbed them, so she took out the folder for which she came to their house , so that she should move away a.s.a.p. after finishing off her work .
